Ruby, from Hertford, was awarded the “Regional Chef of the Year – Hertfordshire” Award at ARTA 2023.

On 8th October, Ruby from Hertfordshire won the coveted title of ‘Regional Chef of the Year – Hertfordshire’ at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) 2023. The award ceremony, which was held at London Hilton on Park Lane, was attended by VIPs such as Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE, Paul Scully MP, Keith Vaz, HE Anwar Choudhury and Emma Rose Collingridge.

The event was hosted by TV presenters Samantha Simmonds and Paul Martin, and featured a performance by singer Kavya Limaye and Ujaan Mukherjee. After a rigorous judging process, Ruby emerged victorious from the competition.

ARTA founder Mohammed Munim said, “I would like to congratulate all of the winners and finalists of ARTA 2023 – the Pan Asian restaurants, takeaways, and chefs who are the pride of the UK’s hospitality industry.”

Paul Scully MP described the event as “the World Cup of the Curry Awards”. HE Anwar Choudhury added, “ARTA celebrates the achievements of the spectrum of Asian cuisine. Congratulations to ARTA and its innovative founder Salik.”
