SG Veteris has appointed another industry heavyweight as Money Laundering Reporting Officer in Estonia.

SG Veteris, a global cryptocurrency-based fintech services group headquartered in London, has appointed Janika Vilms as the new Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in Estonia.

Vilms is a veteran of the industry, boasting over 20 years of experience in the banking sector. She has previously worked with renowned organisations such as Danske and LHV. During her time at Danske, Vilms was responsible for the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) standards, as well as the quality control system in Estonia and the Baltics. Most recently, Vilms led Risk Assessment at LHV, overseeing monitoring scenarios, onsite and offsite inspections, compliance audits, and internal AML standards.

Upon her appointment, Vilms said: “I’m excited for the opportunity to help strengthen SG Veteris’s AML compliance program in Estonia. I look forward to bringing my expertise to help bolster the team.”
