SHORE The Scottish Seaweed Company (SHORE) has been making waves in the food and drink industry with their delicious and sustainable products. Following a successful run of major supermarket listings in Scotland, the company has now received two prestigious awards at the 23rd Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.
The awards, which recognize outstanding food and drink businesses across the country, have named SHORE as the Snack & Accompaniments Product of the Year and Healthier Choice Product of the Year for their Seaweed Chips. These chips not only taste great, but they are also better for the planet and made from sustainable, locally sourced Scottish seaweed.
The recent success of SHORE’s Seaweed Chips is a testament to the company’s commitment to creating nutritious products while supporting the local community. With recent launches in Tesco and Morrisons, along with a new Salt & Balsamic flavor being introduced in Sainsbury’s in early September, SHORE has had a remarkable journey over the past few months.
Keith Paterson, head of SHORE, expressed his excitement over receiving these awards, stating, “We are thrilled to receive this prestigious Scottish award. It’s a strong endorsement of our Seaweed Chips, a product proudly made in Scotland from a uniquely sustainable Scottish food source. This summer, it’s been a privilege not only to be gaining traction with major retailers but also to resonate with food and drink professionals within the Scotland F&D industry itself.”
SHORE’s Seaweed Chips are now available in select Tesco, Morrisons, Co-op, and Sainsbury’s stores across Scotland. The new Salt & Balsamic flavor has recently been added to their Sainsbury’s range. These chips can also be found in hundreds of independent stores across the country, as well as in Holland & Barrett and Booths locations nationwide.
