The Scottish Seaweed Co. (SHORE) has made a significant stride in expanding its reach by securing a major deal with Aldi UK. The multi-award-winning Seaweed Chips from SHORE will now be available in all Aldi stores across the UK starting this January.
This collaboration is the result of several successful promotions of SHORE Chips in Aldi Scotland. As part of the Veganuary month-long celebration, the chips will be featured in Aldi’s middle aisle across the UK. The promotion, which began on December 29th, will offer a special price of £1.49 for SHORE’s Great Taste Award-winning 80g Sweet Sriracha flavour, as well as the newly released 80g Salt & Balsamic flavour.
“We are delighted that Aldi UK has chosen to feature our Shore Chips for Veganuary,” says Keith Paterson, Co-founder of SHORE. “With healthy resolutions in full swing, it is the perfect time to try something new that supports both a healthier lifestyle and a more sustainable world – all while tasting fantastic.”
SHORE’s mission is to make seaweed a leading sustainable food of the future by offering delicious products that are not only better for consumers but also better for the planet. The crisps highlight local Scottish seaweed, a naturally regenerative food source packed with essential nutrients such as iodine, gut-friendly fibre, and antioxidants.
In addition to promoting this local superfood, SHORE has gained recognition for its exceptional flavours, including two Great Taste Awards, a Great British Food Award, a World Food Innovation Award, and two wins at last year’s Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards.
This exciting partnership with Aldi UK is another step towards SHORE’s goal of making seaweed a staple in every household. The company continues to innovate and create delicious, sustainable products that contribute to a healthier and more environmentally conscious lifestyle.
