On Friday, February 9th, 2024, Tait Communications announced their acquisition of RFI Technology Solutions, a global leader in manufacturing and integrating high-performance coverage enhancement solutions for radio and cellular networks. This move is supported by RFI’s world-class engineering and research and development team, bringing over four decades of expertise to the table in supporting LMR, public safety, and carrier markets across the globe.
Based in New South Wales, Australia, RFI operates three Australian manufacturing facilities and provides extended service delivery operations to its global customer base. They also have sales offices in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, making them a key player in adjacent sectors of the critical communications industry, which aligns with Tait’s own focus.
Despite the acquisition, RFI will continue to operate as a standalone enterprise under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Scott Magee. Tait’s own Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Dr Yoram Benit, expressed excitement about the new partnership and highlighted the companies’ compatibility. “Like Tait, RFI is a leader in its global sector,” Dr Benit stated. “The companies complement each other in what we do with little overlap, and the markets we serve continue to grow and develop.”
With decades of experience as a customer of RFI, Tait stands by the quality and sophistication of their technology. Dr Benit emphasized that the goal is for both companies to continue doing what they do well and to look for opportunities in the future where they can synergize and support each other’s growth.
This acquisition is a significant step towards Tait’s vision of providing industry-leading communication solutions for their critical communications clients around the world. With RFI’s expertise and resources, Tait is well-positioned to continue expanding their reach and delivering top-notch services to their customers.
