Telecom Acquisitions Limited (TAL) has announced its latest deal in the residential broadband sector, with its recent acquisition of Eze Talk Residential. The deal will see TAL taking over Eze Talk’s 2,800 strong customer base, further solidifying the company’s success in securing home broadband customers.
Nigel Barnett, CEO of TAL, expressed his excitement about the deal, stating, “More and more ISPs and network providers like Eze Talk have found that servicing residential connections is time consuming and a drain on resources. We have a formula that works, which is backed up by scores of 4.5 stars including 10,700 reviews on Trust Pilot.”
Eze Talk Residential, a part of the Eze Talk Group which has been established for 22 years, has been a major player in the B2B space. However, the company has decided to focus on the B2B sector, making the deal with TAL a strategic move to streamline their operations. Mike Walsh, Managing Director of Eze Talk, stated, “Residential business in our early days was the mainstay of our business, but as we are all aware markets change and many years ago, we decided B2B was a more sustainable route for the future.”
Barnett also shared his personal connection to the deal, stating, “Personally, this acquisition means a lot to me, as Eze Talk helped me with the residential sector when we first set up 13 years ago. The family have really established themselves in the B2B sector and their trust in us taking over their residential side means a lot. There are so many synergies between the companies our relationship will grow even stronger.”
The acquisition, along with TAL’s organic growth which saw 2,750 more homes connected in May, has positioned the company for further expansion in the summer. This has been further boosted by a marketing deal with City Fibre, which will see a door-to-door campaign across its entire footprint over the next six months.
Barnett added, “Our acquisition of residential bases are paying dividends. For example, working with us, OpenFibre in Hull has quadrupled its base in just eight months and No One Internet has added a third in just three months.”
TAL, which holds Home Telecom, Fleur Telecom, and Eclipse Broadband, is currently in negotiations with other prominent alternative network providers for further expansion opportunities. “We are always looking for further opportunities and we’re open to any sort of discussion,” said Barnett.
