One notable aspect of this year’s event is its strong commitment to sustainability. In collaboration with SUPSI, the StraLugano team has implemented a range of measures to enhance waste management, incorporate eco-friendly materials, and promote sustainable mobility. Some key initiatives include crafting medals from 95% recycled wood, utilising electric vehicles, and facilitating free transportation for participants through the Swiss Runners Ticket.
In addition to the exhilarating races, attendees can expect a wealth of side events that will bring the heart of Lugano to life. These include captivating performances by Guggen, energising DJ sets, soul-stirring alpine horn performances, and the delightful sounds of the Superar orchestra.
