Pandovisia, a Serbian progressive net art pop band, has announced the release of their highly anticipated EP, “Uncanny Valley Social Club.” The EP captures a portion of their controversial live performance at the 2024 World Economic Forum.
The band was invited by the organizers of an artificial intelligence panel to showcase their groundbreaking use of AI and IOT technology, as well as perform some new songs for a select audience at an afterparty event. The set received both praise and criticism.
Some hailed it as a bold exploration of the relationship between corporate autocracy, AI, and art, while others found it to be subversive and divisive. In response to the backlash, the organizers of the event have confirmed that Pandovisia will be banned from appearing at any future trade, corporate, or political events.
However, fans of the band can still experience a portion of this controversial performance through their EP, which is now available on all major streaming platforms. The EP features four original songs, which are considered to be some of the last works written by a human hand.
In a statement, the band said, “The Uncanny Valley Social Club EP marks the final chapter of our long-running Disinformation Tour post-truth project. We believe that everybody lies.” To learn more about Pandovisia and their work, visit their website at pandovisia.com.
