The new Board, elected through a process of consensus and a unitary candidacy, is made up of Montserrat Junyent (president), Joan Franquesa (1st vice president), Guifré Homedes (2nd vice president), Olga Velasco (3rd vice president), Juan Alcayde (secretary), and Xavier Fabregat (treasurer). The team is completed by the members Esteve Garcia Ossorio, Rosa Salido, Jordi Collderram, Jordi Masnou, Mercedes Blanco, Lourdes Romeo, Borja Riera, Joan Maurí, and Joan Mitjans.
According to Montserrat Junyent, “the agreement reached to constitute the new Board at the COAPI of Barcelona is not a simple pact, but an exercise of shared responsibility that marks the beginning of a stage based on collaboration, mutual respect, and joint efforts.” The president added: “Unity makes us stronger and with the commitment to consolidate an open, inclusive and prepared College for the challenges of the future.”
Junyent, who has become the first woman to lead the institution in its more than 75 years of history, has highlighted the opportunity that comes with the coordination between the COAPI of Barcelona and the Association of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia (AIC), an entity that she herself presides over, to promote transparency, avoid duplications, and generate synergies.
About the COAPI of Barcelona
The Official Association of Real Estate Agents (COAPI) of Barcelona is a corporation of public law that brings together the collective of registered real estate agents and represents them before public institutions and society in general for more than 75 years.
As a professional association, its essential purpose is to defend the profession, the professional interests of its registered agents, and protect consumers. For this reason, all of its registered agents, who are also members of the AIC, are duly registered in the Register of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia, mandatory for the exercise of real estate activity in Catalonia, and voluntarily submit to a code of conduct and discipline.
