Cotswolds Radio, a premier local radio station in Gloucestershire, announced today that it will be hosting a 24-hour charity broadcast event in support of Kate’s Home Nursing, a local charity offering palliative care in the home. The event will take place from 8pm on 17 October to 8pm on 18 October and aims to raise funds and awareness for the important work that Kate’s Home Nursing does in the community.
The marathon broadcast will be streamed live on Cotswolds Radio, providing a continuous stream of diverse and engaging programming to bring the community together. This includes celebrity interviews, live music performances, and debates. In addition, the station will be hosting an online auction where listeners can bid on a variety of items, including tickets to a Manchester United game, an overnight stay with dinner at Charingworth Manor, and an autographed book from local farmer and television personality, Adam Henson.
Listeners can participate in the auction by visiting the Cotswolds Radio website and placing their bids. The auction will be open from 10 October to 7.45pm on 18 October, with the winners announced live on air.
The broadcast will feature special guests such as Countryfile presenter and local farmer, Adam Henson, football legend Andy Townsend, and 80’s Supremo and producer, Clark Datchler from Johnny Hates Jazz. There will also be live music performances by local singer-songwriters and interviews with Karen Pengilley, CEO of Kate’s Home Nursing, and solo channel swimmer, Izzy Weatherall.
