The ep Group and Pixii have jointly announced the launch of a new distributed energy business in the UK.

UK-based energy transition company ep Group and Norwegian battery energy storage specialist Pixii have joined forces to launch a new joint venture, ep Pixii. The new company, based in London and led by Leo Bedford, aims to meet the growing demand for distributed energy systems across the UK.

Their focus will be on providing integrated energy solutions for the Commercial Real Estate, Residential Development, and Industrial sectors, with the goal of helping energy users reduce costs, unlock new revenue streams, and strengthen resilience.

According to Dr. Steven Fawkes, Managing Partner at ep Group, the launch of ep Pixii is a significant step towards accelerating the shift to distributed, decarbonised, and digitised energy systems. By combining Pixii’s proven battery and power conversion technology with ep Group’s project delivery experience and strong client relationships, they hope to help property owners and investors turn energy infrastructure into a competitive advantage.

As a system integrator, ep Pixii will offer tailored solutions that combine Pixii’s advanced battery systems with solar, EV charging infrastructure, and other on-site technologies. The joint venture also includes Falcon, a proprietary platform developed by ep Group that leverages the latest software and technologies to optimise value across energy generation, self-use, and participation in grid services.

For Pixii, the UK is a crucial market for their global expansion plans. CEO Kenneth Bodahl sees the partnership with ep Group as an opportunity to bring together local expertise and cutting-edge technology to offer scalable, revenue-generating energy systems from residential to industrial scale.

Morten Angelil, Chairman of Pixii and CEO of Eltek Holding, added that their heritage in energy conversion spans over 50 years. With ep Group, they hope to continue this legacy by combining hardware, software, and systems thinking to meet the needs of the next-generation energy market.
