The Fareham Rotary Club has announced that the annual fundraising beneficiary will be Lockswood Care Centre.

Age Concern Hampshire, a charity dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older people in Hampshire, has been selected by the newly appointed president of the Fareham Rotary Club, Robert Hitchins, as the beneficiary for their fundraising efforts in 2024. The announcement was made at a Garden Party held on September 4th, 2024 at the Lockwood Care and Wellbeing Centre in Locks Heath.

President Robert Hitchins and fellow Rotary Club members were warmly welcomed by the Centre, where they enjoyed a homemade lunch in the private garden with clients, volunteers, and support staff. The event was a great success, with visitors enjoying the opportunity to mingle and learn more about the important work of Age Concern Hampshire.

Hannah Parks, Head of Operations at Age Concern Hampshire, expressed her gratitude towards President Hitchins and the Fareham Rotary Club, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for their generous support. Their commitment will make a significant impact on the lives of older people in our community, helping us to continue providing essential services at our Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre.”

The Lockwood Care and Wellbeing Centre in Locks Heath offers a variety of services to the local community, including Day Care, Foot Care Clinics, and one-on-one IT sessions. The support from the Fareham Rotary Club will help Age Concern Hampshire further enhance their facilities and reach more individuals in need.

Established in 1985, Age Concern Hampshire has been dedicated to providing support and services to the older community of Hampshire. They currently operate Care & Wellbeing centres throughout the county, as well as offering Help at Home, Information via their Information Hub, Foot care clinics, Hospital to Home Services, Community Information Volunteer Services, and various other activities.
