The headline could be rewritten as: “Earth Broadband Experiencing Growth in New Location”

Home Telecom Acquires Earth Broadband and Revitalizes its Green Credentials

Friday, December 12th, 2025- In a move to expand its customer base and improve its environmental impact, Home Telecom has acquired Earth Broadband, now operating under the Home Telecom brand. The acquisition has led to the revitalization of Earth Broadband’s green credentials, with a new partnership and commitment to planting trees.

Over the past few months, the Home Telecom team has diligently addressed challenges and engaged with customers to resolve any underlying issues. With a focus on their founding principles of making a positive impact on the planet while delivering excellent broadband, Home Telecom has taken steps to improve their environmental practices.

One of the major changes is the partnership with a new tree supplier, with Home Telecom purchasing 33,000 plants upfront. This is in addition to honoring commitments from the previous ownership, maintaining existing prices while increasing the number of trees planted with their ‘broadband-plus-tree’ packages. The company’s website will be updated to reflect these changes, with new photos and detailed information about the plan. The tree counter will also accurately reflect the number of trees planted, backed by certified accreditation.

In addition to these efforts, Home Telecom has also partnered with British Gas to offer Green Energy tariffs to all Earth customers. “We are enthusiastic about the direction Earth Broadband is taking and plan to offer these eco-friendly packages across all our brands,” said Home CEO Nigel Barnett.

With the acquisition, Earth Broadband now boasts an expanded range of offerings, supported by major networks including Sky, CityFibre, MS3, Full Fibre, F&W, Freedom Fibre, BT, Vodafone, and TalkTalk. This broad support allows Earth to provide customers with the most suitable packages, unlike competitors who are limited to their own networks.

“We’ve been in this market for about 15 years, and this is our first time acquiring customers from a company that gives back. While there were challenges, those are now behind us. Earth Broadband is growing again,” added Barnett.
