Last night, leadership development expert Nicholas Janni’s book “Leader As Healer” was awarded the title of overall winner in the Business Book of the Year Award 2023 at the Business Book Awards Gala Dinner. Selected from the winners in all 14 categories, the book was recognised by the Business Book Awards Head Judge, Jacq Burns, who said it is “a transformational read that every leader of today needs.”
“Leader As Healer” was chosen among 300 nominated books and more than 100 shortlisted titles and also won the Leadership Book of the Year category. The book argues that a serious upgrade is needed in how managers think and practice leadership in the post-pandemic world, where empathy, intuition, deep listening, mindfulness, and inspiring colleagues to engage and collaborate are essential skills.
