London Taxi Drivers Charity for Children Wins Top Prize at International Film Festival

London, UK – The London Taxi Drivers Charity for Children (LTCFC) has been awarded first prize at the Big Syn International Film Festival, held at the Curzon cinema in Shaftesbury Avenue on Friday 8th November. After 96 years of dedicated service, the charity is now preparing for its centenary celebration in 2028.

The winning film, produced by London Cab driver Sean Paul Day, showcased the charity’s heartwarming outings dating back to the 1940s up to the present day. It highlighted nearly a century of taking children to the seaside and captured the essence of the LTCFC’s mission to bring joy and happiness to disadvantaged children. This recognition is a significant achievement for the charity, as their film will now be featured on the iconic Piccadilly Circus lights, one of the UK and Europe’s largest and most iconic billboards.

“We are incredibly proud and honoured to have won the top prize at the Big Syn International Film Festival,” said a spokesperson for the LTCFC. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, donors, and supporters who have helped us make a positive impact in the lives of thousands of children over the past 96 years.”

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the LTCFC invites the public to join them at Piccadilly Circus on Thursday, 14th November 2024 at 11 a.m. for a special screening of their award-winning film. This event will be a chance to not only celebrate the charity’s success but also raise awareness and support for their cause.
