German Company Schüco Outfits Tallest Statue in Germany with Arminia Bielefeld Football Jersey
Bielefeld, Germany – In a show of support for their long-time sponsored team, Schüco, a leading specialist in windows, doors, and façades, has adorned the tallest statue in Germany with an Arminia Bielefeld football jersey. The gesture serves as a gift to the fans of the team, who have recently reached the final of the German Cup.
This is a historic moment for Arminia Bielefeld, as they have reached the final for the first time in the club’s 120-year history as a third division team. The team gained international attention after a stunning semi-final victory over Bayer Leverkusen, the reigning Bundesliga champions and German Cup holders. A remarkable feat in the world of football.
Shortly after the semi-final, an AI-generated image of Hermann’s Monument (Hermannsdenkmal), the tallest statue in Germany, wearing an Arminia Bielefeld jersey went viral. This inspired Schüco, the main sponsor of Arminia Bielefeld, to turn the image into reality. The football club was named after the historical figure of Arminius, in whose memory Hermann’s Monument was built. The plan was executed 44 days after the semi-final, with 130 square meters of flag fabric used to create the 9-meter long and 7.2-meter wide football shirt.
On May 24th, DSC Arminia Bielefeld will face VfB Stuttgart from the Bundesliga at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. “Hermann” will serve as the twelfth man behind the team as they look to achieve a remarkable victory in the final.
