The most awarded ad school in the UK has recently announced the launch of an online course aimed at unleashing the creative potential of individuals worldwide.

London, UK – The School of Communication Arts (SCA), known as the UK’s most prestigious advertising school, has announced the launch of their groundbreaking Online Portfolio School. The program, named Creativity Unlocked, is specifically designed to provide affordable and accessible creative education to those who have traditionally been excluded from it.

For a cost of just £2,750, Creativity Unlocked offers the same high-quality training that has led SCA alumni to win at prestigious industry events such as Cannes, D&AD, and One Show. Graduates of the program have gone on to secure positions at top agencies like Wieden+Kennedy, Droga5, and VCCP.

“We created this course for the time-poor, cash-poor, and connections-poor,” says Marc Lewis, the Dean of the School. “It’s for the brilliant minds who haven’t had the opportunity, couldn’t afford to relocate, or didn’t have connections in the industry. We’re opening the door for them, and now it’s time for them to walk through it.”

The program is designed for a new generation of talent and offers weekly live classes taught by leading creative professionals, monthly real-world briefs to build portfolios, 1:1 mentoring, and peer-to-peer collaboration. Additionally, students will have access to on-demand resources, idea generation tools, and strategic thinking frameworks. Whether one is an aspiring creative, career changer, content creator, or looking to upskill their team, Creativity Unlocked is a valuable opportunity. The program runs in cohorts throughout the year and is available globally, with financing options.

The launch of Creativity Unlocked comes at a time when young people and working professionals are increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional degrees due to cost, flexibility, and real-world relevance. The World Economic Forum has ranked creativity as one of the top skills needed for the future of work, while the advertising industry has faced criticism for its lack of diversity, accessibility, and fresh thinking. Creativity Unlocked addresses all of these concerns, providing a practical and proven alternative to expensive portfolio schools and theory-heavy master’s programs.

“This is the future of creative education,” says Lewis. “It’s inclusive, affordable, practical, and designed to actually get people hired.”

The School of Communication Arts, reopened in 2009 by SCA alumnus Marc Lewis, has become the most consistently awarded advertising school in the UK and the world. With over 100 scholarships awarded, a commitment to inclusion, and a curriculum centered around live briefs and mentoring, the school continues to redefine what creative education can look like.

Enrollment for the next Creativity Unlocked cohort, beginning in April 2025, is now open. Interested individuals can apply at the School of Communication Arts website.
