The Routemaster Association, a leading organization for vintage vehicle enthusiasts, has appointed a new Chairman following its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, March 1st at the Oxford Bus Museum in Long Hanborough.

The previous Chairman, John Ward, who held the position since 2022, announced his resignation at the meeting. He expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the committee and vehicle owners during his tenure, especially during the highly anticipated delivery of RM70.

In his place, David Lee, a long-standing committee member since 2013, was elected as the new Chairman. Lee expressed his excitement and dedication to leading the Association in the coming years, stating, “It is an honor and a privilege to be elected Chairman of the Routemaster Association. I am eager to take on the challenges ahead and work with our full committee of dedicated and talented volunteers to drive the Association forward.”

Lee also acknowledged the current challenges facing vintage vehicle clubs and emphasized the Association’s commitment to adapt and thrive in these uncertain times. He outlined the Association’s key priority of supporting its members by facilitating the re-manufacture of crucial mechanical and bodywork components. Lee concluded by ensuring members and enthusiasts that the Association is fully committed to strengthening its presence, increasing engagement, and securing its future for years to come.

The 2025 AGM was the first to be held at the Oxford Bus Museum, a testament to the Association’s growth and expansion over the years. The event was a success, and the new leadership is now looking forward to the future of the Routemaster Association.
