Heal Rewilding, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring wildlife and addressing the climate crisis, has recently received a significant financial boost from Benefact Group through its annual Movement for Good Awards. The donation is part of Benefact Group’s Partnership Funding program, which aims to support charities across the UK and Ireland in making a positive impact in their communities.
The funding is specifically intended to assist charities working towards the advancement of education and skills, heritage, arts and culture, and climate change and environment. It provides flexible funding that can be used within three years and for a blend of capital and running costs to support their projects.
Out of 50 charities invited to complete the full application form, 18 were selected as recipients of the funding based on four key criteria: impact and effectiveness, sustainability, innovation, and care and compassion. Heal Rewilding was chosen as one of the winners, and the funding will be used to support their Rewilding Ranger at their first rewilding site in Somerset.
According to Jan Stannard, Co-Founder and CEO of Heal Rewilding, this grant will directly support their mission of restoring land to nature and addressing the urgent need for climate action and biodiversity recovery in England. The Rewilding Ranger plays a crucial role in transforming depleted land into thriving habitats and inspiring others to join the movement for a wilder, more resilient future.
Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, emphasized the importance of longer-term funding for charities, especially when it comes to implementing ambitious new ideas and transformative projects. He also highlighted the Group’s mission to give back to society, with all available profits going towards good causes.
In addition to financial support, Benefact Group is committed to building lasting partnerships with the winning charities. They will provide access to resources such as webinars, volunteering opportunities, and support in delivering their projects.
Movement for Good is funded by EIO plc, part of the Benefact Group, and aims to support charities in making a real difference in their communities. With this latest round of Partnership Funding, Benefact Group hopes to champion innovation and turn creative ideas into practical solutions that benefit society.
