The Patients Association survey has uncovered the top priorities for the new Government, according to patients.

Survey Shows Overwhelming Support for Health-in-all Policies Approach among Patients

Earlier this month, the Patients Association conducted a survey in partnership with Censuswide to gather insights from patients on their current experiences with healthcare and their expectations for the next government in addressing issues within the health and care system.

The survey, which consisted of 1,000 nationally representative respondents and 210 respondents from the Patients Association newsletter – Weekly News, revealed a strong backing for a health-in-all policies approach. 71% of patients expressed their belief that all government departments should prioritize public health.

The Patients Association, a leading charity advocating for equitable access to healthcare, highlights the importance of a health-in-all policies approach in addressing the needs of patients who are most vulnerable and at risk of experiencing health inequalities and social deprivation. This approach would involve a cross-government strategy that considers the holistic well-being of patients.

Rachel Power, Chief Executive of the Patients Association, emphasized the alignment of these survey results with the organization’s Election Manifesto, which calls for the government to implement a health-in-all policies approach. This would ensure that healthcare services are tailored to the individual needs of patients, taking into account their personal circumstances and not just their medical condition.

The full results of the survey will be released on Wednesday, 10th July, and can be accessed through the Patients Association’s website or their social media channels.
