Head2Head Sensory Theatre to Raise £3,500 in Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025
Friday 28 November, 2025 – Head2Head Sensory Theatre is excited to announce their participation in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025, taking place from 2nd to 9th December 2025. The small charity aims to raise £3,500 in just one week, with donations being generously matched by Big Give’s Champions during the campaign.
The funds raised will go towards producing a brand new touring sensory production based on Greek myths, as well as workshops and interactive activities that support education, wellbeing, life skills, and mental health.
“We all deserve escapism. To dip our toe into the world of make believe,” says Samantha Renke, Broadcaster, Disability Rights Campaigner, and Patron of Head2Head Sensory Theatre. “Head2Head does this so well, allowing Deaf, Disabled, and Neurodivergent children and young adults to access and experience the arts with ease and equity at its heart. Give Big and make sure vital resources like these are available for the Disability community.”
The charity’s ambassador and BBC actress, Georgia de Gidlow, also stresses the importance of making theatre accessible for all children. “Supporting this cause is essential for the amazing work this charity does,” she says.
Founder and volunteer Anni Rhodes-Steere explains the impact of inclusive, sensory-rich theatre on children with special or additional needs. “Theatre brings joy, confidence, and calm,” she says. “Children with disabilities face major barriers to traditional theatre, but Head2Head removes those barriers. It gives them the chance to be part of the story rather than left out of it.”
