PipeChain AB, a cloud-based Multi-Enterprise Network software company for the Automotive and Retail industry, has announced its first acquisition outside of the Nordics. The company’s business division, PipeChain Networks, has acquired UK-based software company, AdvanceFirst Technologies Limited, which specializes in providing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions for the Retail industry.
The acquisition of AdvanceFirst Technologies will significantly strengthen PipeChain Networks’ Retail offering and expand its presence across Europe. According to Hans Berggren, Group CEO and Co-founder of PipeChain, “This strategic acquisition will enable Retailers and their suppliers to rapidly build highly connected, agile, and resilient supply chains.”
AdvanceFirst Technologies, a well-established supply chain software company in the UK, offers scalable solutions that ensure compliance and seamless integration with existing ERP systems. The company’s cloud-based platform and advanced analytics tools provide end-to-end visibility of business document flows, positioning it for growth in the evolving digital commercial space.
Agneta Lund, CEO of PipeChain Networks AB, believes that the acquisition will not only strengthen the company’s market position but also pave the way for innovation and growth. She adds, “We look forward to working closely with the talented team at AdvanceFirst Technologies to achieve our shared goals.”
Malcolm Miller, co-founder and previous major shareholder of AdvanceFirst Technologies, also expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that joining PipeChain is a fantastic opportunity for the company. He believes that integrating AdvanceFirst Technologies’ solutions with PipeChain’s robust platform will open up new possibilities for customers and personnel alike.
Laura Perkins, COO of AdvanceFirst Technologies, is confident that being a part of PipeChain Networks will drive the company’s expansion and enhance its ability to deliver exceptional value. “We are excited to explore new opportunities and offer our customers even more value through this partnership,” she adds.
According to Agneta Lund, PipeChain’s mission is to help Retailers and their supply chains move quickly and confidently towards high digital maturity. With the acquisition of AdvanceFirst Technologies, the company now offers one of the most effective, scalable, and market-proven paths to achieving this goal. Lund highlights the importance of reaching a high level of connectivity in order to realize the full potential of digital transformation in supply chains.
PipeChain offers its customers fast onboarding of customers and suppliers, deep ERP integration, and proven business impact. This high level of connectivity, according to Lund, can lead to lower inventory levels, fewer production disruptions, reduced obsolescence and waste, fewer emergency transports, and lower logistics costs. She urges customers and prospects ready to accelerate their digital transformation to explore how PipeChain’s new combined offering can unlock immediate value.
The company was advised by lawyers DLA Piper, while Prism Corporate Broking and lawyers Stevens & Bolton LLP advised AdvanceFirst Technologies on the deal.
