A new survey has revealed that ‘plate piling’ is the most common behaviour among barbeque lovers. The poll, which surveyed 2,000 adults who enjoy a good grill, found that 28% of them admitted to loading their dish with as much food as possible when attending a barbeque. The survey also revealed that the main reason for this behaviour was fear of an empty buffet, while others stated they simply weren’t bothered to make more trips to the buffet table.
The poll also revealed that, when it comes to barbeque favourites, burgers were the most popular with 58 per cent admitting they’d be lost without them. Other popular items were sausages (51 per cent), steak (41 per cent) and kebabs (30 per cent).
Commenting on the survey, a spokesperson for the research said: “Barbeques are a great way to socialise with friends and family, and it’s clear from our research that the most popular foods are still the classics.”
