The UK Charity Governance Awards 2025 sees the triumph of an eye condition charity.

Nystagmus Network Wins Top Prize at UK Charity Governance Awards 2025

London, 5 June 2025 – Nystagmus Network, a UK charity supporting individuals living with a complex eye condition, has been named one of five winners at the UK Charity Governance Awards 2025. The charity received an unrestricted grant of £6,000 for their outstanding work in the category of ‘Improving Impact in Small Charities (0-3 paid staff)’.

The charity, which provides support and resources for those with the incurable eye condition, was recognized for its mature leadership and long-term impact by the judges. Nystagmus Network’s board of directors displayed a remarkable shift in their five-year strategy, increasing investment in research while also strengthening their advocacy and support efforts.

Vivien Jones MBE, the charity’s Founder and Honorary President, expressed her gratitude for the award, saying, “Last year, the board made a bold move by launching a five-year strategy that significantly increased investment in research while also enhancing our support and advocacy work. This award is a testament to our hard work and dedication and provides us with motivation to continue our mission. We are grateful to the organizers of the awards and will use the unrestricted grant to further our cause. We are absolutely thrilled!”

The award ceremony, held in London on 3rd June, marked the tenth and final year of the UK Charity Governance Awards. The event featured 15 shortlisted charities, both national and regional, in the running for one of five prestigious awards.
