turns heads “The colorful wedding catches the attention of onlookers”

On Saturday, 24th August 2024, the picturesque town of Cheltenham became a hub of vibrant colors and stylish fashion as local fashion designer Beatrice von Tresckow’s daughter, Frederike Gardiner, tied the knot with businessman Caldon Pike. The ceremony, held at Cheltenham Ladies College, not only celebrated the union of two individuals but also paid homage to British fashion.

At 1.30pm, the town was transformed into a kaleidoscope of rich, radiant fabrics and statement pieces by Beatrice von Tresckow, known for her love of slow, conscious fashion. A variety of guests arrived at the iconic location, donning pieces from Beatrice’s SS24 line, including the Orange Silk Wrap Blouse and Pink Palazzo Trousers. The bridesmaids and flower girls, numbering 8 and 3 respectively, also donned Beatrice von Tresckow clothing, adding a touch of bold oranges and vibrant pinks with intricate embroidery to the wedding festivities.

The star of the day, Frederike, wore a custom gown co-designed with her mother. The exquisite embroidery and beading took over 1,800 hours to perfect, with the mother-daughter duo working closely with the BvT beading team in India. The result was a one-of-a-kind dress that truly represented Frederike’s personal style and the creative bond she shares with her mother. It also served as a tribute to the dedicated team at Beatrice von Tresckow’s workshop in Montpellier.

Beatrice von Tresckow, the designer and mother of the bride, donned a jacket of her own design featuring the names of the happy couple, showcasing a true tribute to her daughter and new son-in-law, Caldon Pike.

“Creating Fredi’s wedding dress has been my most wonderful project yet! Many months were spent designing the details of the beadwork and connecting our amazing embroidery team in India with our skilled couture work here in England … I felt deeply proud of my daughter, of her dress and of the connection this project gave us.” – Beatrice von Tresckow, Designer

The theme of bespoke embroidery continued throughout the day, with Beatrice’s jacket and the wedding dress being just a few examples.
