TÜV SÜD Verifies Carbon Footprint of Jackery’s Solar and Portable Energy Products, an Industry First

Jackery, an innovative provider of portable power and green outdoor energy solutions, has become the first solar generator brand to receive carbon footprint verification from TÜV SÜD, an internationally recognised third-party certification organisation.

The carbon footprint results of Jackery’s products have achieved the international standard ISO 14067:2018, which defines the requirements necessary for organisations to qualify the greenhouse gas emissions produced during each stage in the life cycle of a product.

The company’s relationship with TÜV SÜD began in August 2022 when TÜV SÜD certified Jackery’s consumer-grade photovoltaic products. The sustainability team of TÜV SÜD Product Service Division then conducted carbon footprint verification of Jackery SolarSaga 80W and 100W solar panels, as well as seven models of Jackery portable power stations (500, 708, 1000, 1500, 800 Pro, 1000 Pro, 2000 Pro).

It was confirmed that the carbon footprints of the products complied with the requirements of ISO 14067:2018. As a result, Jackery has enhanced the “green competitiveness” of its portable power products in the international market, establishing itself as a globally trusted green energy brand.

Nicola Cutler, Senior PR UK/Europe at Jackery, said: “We are proud to have achieved carbon footprint verification for our products, which is a first for the solar generator industry. We are committed to deeper sustainable development and helping to make technical innovations, such as renewable energy, safe and reliable.”

Jackery, founded in California in 2012, is a global top-selling solar generator brand with over 3 million units sold globally since 2018. It has earned 363 global patents and has received 53 prestigious international design awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, the A’ Design Award and Competition, the Best of IFA Award and the CES Innovation Award. The brand is also a partner of the International Rescue Committee, helping those affected by disaster across the globe.
