Young Welsh DJ Efan Electro Releases Groundbreaking Welsh-Language Dance Anthem at Age 10

A rising star from North Wales, 10-year-old DJ and music producer Efan Electro has officially dropped his debut single, a Welsh-language dance track titled “Dyheadau (Radio Edit)”.

Efan Henri, known professionally as Efan Electro, first got hooked on electronic beats at the age of 7. Since then, his talent has taken him to festival stages across Wales and earned him performance slots alongside major names, including house music icon Judge Jules.

His debut release, Dyheadau, stands out not just for the artist’s young age but for his commitment to showcasing the Welsh language within a genre where it’s rarely heard. With this track, Efan aims to bring Welsh to the heart of modern music culture.

“I love DJing and producing music, and I want people to hear Welsh in dance tracks too — not just rock and pop,” says Efan. “It’s my language, and it belongs in modern music as much as anywhere else.”

Since its release, the single has begun gaining traction online, with early buzz spreading across social platforms and among fans of both Welsh-language content and electronic music.

Translating to “Aspirations”, Dyheadau bursts with energy, drawing influence from classic house and modern electro elements. The track is now streaming on Spotify and all major digital platforms.

Efan has also secured spots at several major festivals this summer, including Kendal Calling and Lakefest — impressive bookings for any artist, let alone one still in primary school.

Alongside his live performances, Efan is already working on a follow-up single expected later this year. He continues to hone his production skills from his home studio while benefiting from guidance by seasoned professionals in the UK electronic scene.

His music forms part of a growing wave of young Welsh talent using creative expression to bring national culture to new global platforms.
