Intelligent Environment Services (i-ES), a leading environmental firm based in Manchester, has introduced an innovative virtual rendering service for asbestos surveying, aimed at significantly reducing the risk of exposure.
i-ES now offers “Virtual Rendering” surveys to its clients, providing them with a unique solution for conveying complex asbestos risk information.
Utilizing cutting-edge 3D technology, i-ES can immerse users in an interactive, real-world simulation of buildings and environments. This service offers clients an exact replica of their property, complete with embedded compliance data in the 3D render. It provides a lifelike representation of all asbestos-containing materials and their precise locations within the site.
Notably, i-ES is the first organization globally with the capability to create virtual tours within contaminated areas. This feature provides clients with a comprehensive view of mechanical and electrical equipment and its condition in areas that were previously deemed inaccessible.
Brent Wardle, Director at i-ES, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of this groundbreaking service, stating,
“We are delighted to launch this exciting new service, which is set to completely revolutionise the way asbestos surveys are carried out.
“The key benefit of the virtual survey is the added safety it provides for contractors who can virtually walk through a property and be able to easily and immediately identify where the asbestos is located, completely removing any ambiguity and thus any risk of accidental disturbance. Not only that, but if there is an asbestos incident, our technology completely removes the need for people to physically attend site, risking further exposure in order to determine risk and appropriate remedial actions.”
Beyond enhancing safety and efficiency in asbestos management, i-ES’s Virtual Tour technology can incorporate multiple layers of tagging, aiding in the identification of health and safety risks. This functionality allows clients to tag and retain a virtual replica and profile of all assets.
Brent Wardle further added, “We have already successfully delivered virtual asbestos surveys and virtual renders for both new and existing clients, who have described it as a game-changer and a pivotal moment for the asbestos industry. We are extremely excited about the potential that new technology brings to our industry and take pride in being at the forefront of its integration.”
i-ES will be showcasing its Virtual Rendering service at the Contamination Expo on 13-14 September at the NEC Birmingham.
