The pure fiber optic tester combines numerous fiber testing options such as OTDR and Selective OPM, PON-ID detection and performance tests, and is capable of testing GPON and XGS-PON interfaces with reliable accuracy. It also features a 5-fold power meter in through mode to simultaneously measure optical levels on different downstream and upstream wavelengths for GPON, XGS-PON and video overlay.
In addition, the ARGUS® F300 has many other test functions, such as a WLAN analyzer, triple play tests (VoIP, IPTV and data tests) and IP speed tests. It also has a Fiber Inspection Tool which detects scratches and defects on optical fibers and displays them as video images.
