Industry pioneers from the insurance sector are set to come together and explore the world of generative artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) at the inaugural Generative-AI in Insurance Europe conference. On February 8, 2024, leading insurers, including Lloyd’s, AXA, Aviva, Zurich, Liberty, Generali, NFU Mutual, and Trygg, will be present at the America Square Conference Centre in London to share their insights.
McKinsey estimates that Gen-AI could offer potential revenue opportunities for insurance worth $1.1 trillion. Intelligent Insurer, the driving force behind the conference, hopes to show businesses how to capitalise on the trend and unlock the potential value of Gen-AI while managing associated risks.
At the one-day event, attendees will discuss the challenges associated with implementation and governance, as well as regulatory, ethical, and legal concerns. Furthermore, the conference will provide an opportunity to learn about the diverse applications of Gen-AI within product design, underwriting, customer service, and claims.
Speakers and panellists from the event include Parul Kaul-Green, Chief Digital Strategy Officer of Liberty Specialty Markets, Bob James, Chief Operating Officer of Lloyd’s, Yanna Winter, CIO and Head of Generali UK IT and GC&C IT of Generali, Susan Fallon, Global Head of Property of Zurich, and many more.
Those in attendance will gain invaluable insights into how Gen-AI streamlines processes, cuts costs, and enhances real-time decision-making, transforming customer experiences in the process. It is also expected that the conference will highlight the use of Gen-AI in mitigating undesirable outcomes such as fraud detection and improved predictive analysis.
Helen Raff, Director Event Portfolio at Intelligent Insurer, stated: “This event is perfectly timed to show insurers how to capitalise on the trend that’s dominating the news, and transforming the way business is conducted. There’s a plethora of AI insurance events on the calendar, but this is the only forum specifically dedicated to Generative AI.”
The Generative-AI in Insurance Europe conference will host leading industry experts in an effort to navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by generative AI. The event is set to be a pivotal moment for the sector, providing a platform for industry leaders to forge networks, gain invaluable insights, and acquire the knowledge necessary to spearhead the evolution of the insurance industry.
