At Intersolar Europe 2023, LONGi announced a new conversion efficiency of 33.5% for its silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells.

LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved a new world record for solar cell efficiency at Intersolar 2023, the world’s leading trade fair for the solar industry. According to the European Solar Test Installation (ESTI), LONGi has achieved a conversion efficiency of 33.5% for its silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells, an increase of 1.7% from the previous 31.8% record set in November 2022. This is the second-highest efficiency record achieved for a silicon-based solar cell to date.

Since its listing in 2012, LONGi has invested over 20 billion yuan (2.5 billion Euros) in R&D, resulting in the achievement of 2,132 patents of various types. At Intersolar, the company showcased its world-record-holding conceptual product 2681, which is based on the advanced technology of 26.81% crystalline silicon solar cell efficiency. Weighing 31.8 kg and with a size of 2278 mm × 1134 mm, 2681 boasts an ultra-high performance and features like voltage and symmetrical cell structure, and power generation of over 600 W.
