Do people in the UK trust Allwyn as National Lottery operator?

Austrian player protection association “Spielerhilfe” has uncovered serious youth- and player protection issues within Austrian entities of Allwyn, who is set to take over the sole lottery business in England with “The National Lottery” on February 1, 2024.

The association has made 94 legal proceedings this year due to misconducts in youth protection at Austrian Lotteries and its retail partners, yet Allwyn, the majority owner, and the owner of Allwyn – Karel Komarek Group – have failed to respond to media enquiries. The company has even hired the Brunswick Group to have reports deleted.

In light of these events, “Spielerhilfe” will hold a press conference in London on November 22, 2023 to show their findings with background information.

Commenting on the matter, Christoph Holubar, Chairman of “Spielerhilfe” said: “Allwyn does not show social responsibility and the company is trying to hinder the outcome of own wrongdoings and our findings. We take the next step and carry this facts to UK.”

Accreditation is required to attend the press conference, which is scheduled to take place at 10 am and will last for 60 minutes. Those interested in attending are asked to register by sending an email to operations@verein-spielerhilfe.at with their company name and contact details.
