Fizyr, a leading provider of advanced vision AI for robots, has announced an expanded partnership with AWL, a renowned systems integrator based in the Netherlands. The partnership aims to meet the growing demand for robotic solutions with advanced vision capabilities.
“AWL has been a great partner to Fizyr for more than three years, and together, we’ve pushed performance to new heights and opened many eyes to the potential of robotic cells and systems with advanced vision capabilities,” said Fizyr CEO Ken Fleming. “Our co-developed solutions reliably handle variations in items, materials, lighting and other factors, and AWL is making more of these solutions available to meet fast-growing demand.”
The market for robotic picking is expected to reach $6.8 billion by 2030, according to Interact Analysis. In response to this growing demand, AWL has been offering solutions that enhance e-commerce order fulfillment and other high-variability tasks. These solutions help organizations address challenges such as staffing and scalability.
AWL, which specializes in the automotive, metalworking, and intra logistics industries, has integrated Fizyr’s vision AI into several of its most demanding implementations. This partnership has resulted in impressive throughputs ranging from 700 to 800 parcels per hour across various layouts and SKU combinations for prominent customers such as DHL and Arvato.
AWL’s recent innovations, including ROSI and RODE, also feature Fizyr’s vision AI. ROSI, a robotic singulator, is designed to reduce sortation bottlenecks in harsh environments by quickly and reliably picking a variety of objects with minimal human intervention. On the other hand, RODE, a robotic depalletizer, uses Fizyr’s technology to automatically unstack arbitrarily packaged goods such as boxes, bags, or totes from pallets.
“We are proud to partner with AWL and provide them with the best computer vision capabilities for logistics applications,” said a Fizyr spokesperson. “Our goal is to enable robotic and systems integrators to maximize their processes and operations with smart robotic solutions.”
