He Wrote a Book on Achieving High Stake Dreams Before Sailing the Pacific Before Reaching 70th Birthday

Adventurer and author Lowell Sheppard has released his new book, Dare to Dream, which demonstrates that it is never too late to live out one’s dreams. Through sharing his own experience preparing for his solo sail of the Pacific Ocean, the author provides a four-step program to help readers realize their highest aspirations. Dr Marshall Goldsmith, Thinkers50 Executive Coach and New York Times best-selling author, praised the book for being “essential for those yearning to reshape their lives and career.”

Sheppard, who is also the founder of Never Too Late Academy, has been pursuing his life-long dream since 2019 of sailing across the Pacific Ocean solo by the time he turns 70. His journey is now the subject of an upcoming TV series on the History Channel, Dare to Dream, set to air in 2024.

The book is divided into two parts, with the first describing Sheppard’s life journey leading up to his current adventure. The second part provides an in-depth analysis of the anatomy of a dream and outlines the four-step DARE program to realize them: Detect, Amplify, Ready and Enjoy.

“I wrote the book to inspire individuals to break free from the confines of doubt and fear, embrace audacious dreams, and chart their extraordinary journeys,” said Sheppard. “Through the book, I share my own transformative journey and steps to make people’s dreams come true. And for those who feel they do not have a dream, this book will help them detect a dream that will leave a legacy. It is also a book that emphasizes planning and preparation and the importance of celebrating every milestone.”

Dare to Dream is published on 30 November 2023 by LID Publishing, available as a paperback and e-book. For more information about the book, the Never Too Late Academy and Lowell Sheppard, please visit www.lidpublishing.com.
