MindFidelity has launched a new audio practice for mental health support.

MindFidelity has launched a new audio practice, on World Mental Health Day, dedicated to creating immersive acoustic environments that can aid people’s mental health and wellbeing journeys. The collective of creatives, technologists, and recording engineers are exploring the benefits of sound within the mindfulness sector.

Founder of MindFidelity, Liam Paton, commented: “This feels like the start of an exciting journey as we explore the benefits of sound within the mindfulness sector. We are interested to see how we can use our collective knowledge as sound creators, alongside our experience developing installation and immersive work, to develop new tools and environments that can aid people’s mental health and wellbeing journeys.”

MindFidelity’s first sound installation will be unveiled at the General Assembly Gallery in central London on Tuesday, 28 November 2023. The project draws inspiration from the esteemed Japanese tradition of “forest bathing” and seeks to capture the essence of authentic natural surroundings.

The installation will include a fully immersive audio system, a curated physical set comprised of natural elements, and bespoke scents carefully selected for their therapeutic qualities. Going forward, MindFidelity will aim to engage diverse audiences and establish a presence in a range of venues, including art galleries, public spaces, work environments, and healthcare facilities.
