Mindscreen impacts the lives of pupils in a positive manner and contributes value to significant school practices.

Today, on Thursday 15 February, 2024, MINDSCREEN proudly announces the successful completion of its innovative programme with Year 6, 7, and 8 pupils at Gosforth Central Middle School. This partnership marks an important milestone in Mindscreen’s journey to help children flourish and achieve success in life.

Founded with the purpose of nurturing self-awareness, confidence, and self-belief in children, Mindscreen has gained recognition from educators and parents across several secondary schools in the UK. The adoption by Gosforth Central Middle School is a significant step forward as it is the first time the Mindscreen experience® programme has been implemented simultaneously across multiple year groups.

Gav Devereux, founder of Mindscreen, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Gosforth Central Middle School, stating that “it has proven that the Mindscreen experience® programme supports pupils’ personal growth and also provides powerful tools for staff to manage behavioural incidents and support SEN pupils.”

The adoption of a school-wide approach ensures the participation of teachers, pupils, and parents, creating an environment of inclusive learning and growth. This unique approach not only enriches the lives of pupils but also informs and engages the key influencers in each child’s life.

Rachel Reed, Head of Year 5 and Head of PSHE at Gosforth Central Middle School, shared her positive experience with Mindscreen, stating that “Mindscreen has been an excellent tool for both pupils and staff to improve wellbeing and self-awareness.” She also mentioned that the programme has allowed pupils to gain a greater understanding of themselves and their strengths, leading to positive changes in their behaviour.

By fostering self-awareness and self-confidence, Mindscreen aims to ensure children have the best start possible in life. Devereux added that “the positive outcomes reported by Gosforth School are exciting because they clearly express the depth of impact our programme has on pupils, staff, and school practices.”

Looking towards the future, the Mindscreen team remains committed to their purpose of helping children flourish by adapting resources for Year 5 pupils, allowing for personal growth from an earlier age.
