The French School Group has a delightful time during their visit to the National Park.

French Students Partake in Educational Day Trip at Loch Lomond

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, a group of 50 French students embarked on an educational day trip at Loch Lomond. The trip included a cruise on the loch to Inversnaid, followed by a guided walking tour along a section of the West Highland Way.

Cruise Loch Lomond, a company that offers loch cruises, was pleased to accommodate the group for their return trip to Inversnaid. They were delighted to hear that the students thoroughly enjoyed their experience on Loch Lomond. The company has been hosting approximately 30 overseas school groups annually for trips to Inversnaid reserve and the West Highland Way, as well as local school groups to Inchcailloch.

The group was joined by John Urquhart, Chair of the charity Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs, and expert local guide from Loch Lomond Guides. John led the students on a section of the West Highland Way and provided them with information on various themes, including the role of the National Park and the importance of nurturing and appreciating the environment.

The day was a great success, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the experience.
