Visa and REPX have signed a global agreement to implement a REPX business model which will target sports clubs and celebrities.

The Reputation Exchange PLC (REPX) has signed a global card agreement with Visa, one of the world’s leading digital payments providers. This agreement will enable REPX to implement its business model and accelerate its strategic activity, allowing them to build relationships in new territories and develop digital banking solutions tailored to football and sports fans, as well as the brands they are working with.

With the help of this strategic partnership, REPX will be able to offer its customers with UK and international co-brand partnerships in sports, fashion, media and commercial services the ability to use their cards wherever the VISA logo is accepted. REPX will also be able to further its product portfolio with the Visa Analytics Platform (VAP), a sophisticated machine for understanding spending behaviour and profiling fans and followers more intimately.

Launched in mid-2022, REPX’s innovative products have already included the Italian PAYFAN AC Milan card and the PAYFAN Torino FC card, as well as plans for the historic Scottish team Glasgow Rangers.

Commenting on the agreement, Antonio Matta, Executive Director of REPX, said: “Thanks to this strategic global agreement with Visa, our innovative fintech will be better equipped to provide our core catchment area, i.e. football and sports fans (not to mention our other brand partners), with a range of payment solutions in all territories of the world”.

Luigi Marandola, Global Head of Co-Brands at Visa, added: “We’re delighted to be working with REPX and look forward to helping them to deliver digital payment solutions to brands, football and sports fans around the world.”

REPX is a fintech revolutionising traditional banking by combining technology and the passion of billions of fans worldwide with social media, allowing sports teams, celebrities, influencers, brands and iconic cities to connect with their fanbases through exclusive co-branded prepaid cards, debit cards and digital products.
