Immerse yourself in a powerful sisterhood and rediscover your inner joy at the highly anticipated Burning Woman Festival 2023. Returning for its third edition from 21st to 23rd July 2023, this extraordinary event offers three full days of life-affirming workshops and experiences specifically tailored for women of all ages. Set against the enchanting backdrop of Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire, this women-only festival promises an unforgettable journey of connection and personal growth.

Burning Woman Festival is a unique haven where guests can indulge in liberating workshops, thought-provoking talks, vibrant marketplaces brimming with magical trade stands, and engaging encounters with healers, readers, and coaches. Additionally, attendees can revel in uplifting and captivating performances, immersing themselves in a realm of empowerment and inspiration.

Olivia Beardsmore, the visionary Creatrix behind Burning Woman, explains the festival’s essence: “My vision for Burning Woman was to create a beautiful heart-space for women to relax, rejuvenate, celebrate, connect, flourish, transform, and take time for themselves. A space where women could feel safe, surrounded by sisterhood, and empowered to radiate their true brilliance. Each year, the festival grows and evolves, generating an indescribable energy.”

Olivia brings a wealth of experience to the festival, hailing from a background in PR and events. She previously founded and managed the Bushcraft & Survival Skills Magazine and The Bushcraft Show. In addition, Olivia is a published author, a fire-walking instructor, and an empowerment coach with Firebird Firewalks. Notably, she has overseen awe-inspiring mass firewalks involving over 300 women at the previous Burning Woman Festivals.

Firewalking is just one of the many exhilarating experiences awaiting attendees at Burning Woman. With over 150 workshops, the majority of which are free, visitors can explore diverse activities such as creative writing, painting, dancing, vision-boarding, breathwork, sound healing, shibari, and tea ceremonies. Notable highlights in the program include Kate Lambert’s enlightening talk on “How Female Pleasure Will Save the World,” Velvet Burlesque’s empowering workshop “Release Your Inner Glamazon” focused on burlesque, and “The Play Portal” by Bec Fowler & Shelley Sophia, which delves into the transformative power of play as medicine for the body, mind, and soul. Additionally, Adele Wimsett’s workshop “Know Your Flow” sheds light on harnessing the power of the menstrual cycle.

Throughout the weekend, a captivating lineup of musicians, poets, and dancers, exclusively composed of talented women, will grace the stage. The festival’s pinnacle performances on Saturday night will feature the Irish Cabaret and Performance Artists Growler and the Wild Geeze, fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe, and the legendary choral and folk music sensations, the Mediaeval Baebes. Following these incredible performances, attendees will dance the night away at the Neon Goddess Rave.

Burning Woman offers an array of activities suited to every woman’s interests, including woodland walks, paddleboarding, swimming in the lake, an invigorating ice bath, morning dance and yoga sessions, and even boxing sessions.

“We are thrilled to have Belvoir Castle as the stunning venue for this year’s festival, providing ample space for all our incredible activities. The land itself exudes potent magic and carries a rich history that we will undoubtedly tap into throughout the weekend,” shares Olivia.

This alcohol-free festival invites participants to fully immerse themselves in deep connections with nature and others, healing, personal growth, and joyous play.

Shannon Connolly, who attended the last two festivals, describes Burning Woman as a life-changing experience: “I came alone and made so many special friends. I’ve never felt so safe, seen, and connected with so many women. I laughed, cried, danced, sang, and felt utterly free and alive!”
