Fizyr’s new vision packs to feature IDS’ industrial cameras

Fizyr, a company known for providing the most advanced and efficient vision AI for robotic systems, has recently announced a new partnership with IDS, a leading manufacturer of industrial cameras. The partnership aims to provide integrators with a wide range of certified Vision Packs that can solve complex automation challenges.

Through this collaboration, IDS cameras will be integrated into several of Fizyr’s certified Vision Packs. These packs offer solutions for six of the most complex yet common automation challenges, including Pick & Place, Singulation, Palletization/Depal, Detection, Trailer/Container Unloading, and Laundry. Integrators will now have access to different configurations of Vision Packs, allowing them to choose the best components, capabilities, and costs to effectively solve customer automation challenges.

Ken Fleming, CEO of Fizyr, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “IDS is an industry leader, and its trusted industrial cameras are used in a wide array of applications. Working closely with IDS to develop solutions to complex automation challenges ensures a high level of comfort and familiarity right out of the box for purchasers of Fizyr’s certified Vision Packs.”

The partnership will offer integrators a seamless integration of Fizyr’s deep learning vision AI with IDS’s Ensenso 3D, uEye 2D, and IDS NXT (AI) cameras. This combination provides unparalleled robustness for a wide range of pick and place robotic cells, enabling them to handle a variety of challenging scenes and objects. Fizyr’s algorithms use segmentation, shape detection, and material detection to identify each item and prioritize the actions to be taken. They also utilize cascade learning to analyze inputs, calculate optimal actions, and direct the robot. Additionally, Fizyr’s technology allows for real-time image processing, allowing for quick recalculations and adjustments after each pick.

Marian Petrovic, International Sales Director at IDS, commented on the partnership, stating, “At IDS, one of our key beliefs is simplicity means efficiency. Fizyr’s Vision Packs put that into practice by providing proven combinations of the right camera, robot, gripper, and brain to solve complex problems. It’s a simple, efficient solution that Fizyr has done a great job of implementing with our cameras.”

Fleming also added, “Great partners ensure our Vision Packs help integrators achieve faster, better results and optimal ROI. IDS is one of those great partners that we are proud to push boundaries with.”

Both companies are committed to providing the best solutions for integrators to meet the growing demand for robotic automation. Fizyr’s focus on enabling integrators with the best computer vision capabilities for logistics applications, combined with IDS’s expertise in industrial image processing, makes this partnership a perfect match.
