Jackery, a global leader in portable power and green energy solutions, has today announced a new partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The collaboration will support WWF’s efforts to protect the black-footed ferret, one of North America’s most endangered mammals, by providing a clean and quiet power solution in the field.
“We are proud to support researchers and conservationists with power solutions that enhance their ability to detect, track, and conserve black-footed ferrets,” said a spokesperson from Jackery. “Together, we can make a meaningful difference in boosting the population of the species and pave the way for building a sustainable and biodiverse future for generations to come.”
Currently, there are an estimated 390 black-footed ferrets in the wild, far below the 3,000 required for their recovery. The partnership will provide researchers and conservation teams with reliable and eco-friendly power stations and solar panels to help WWF detect, track, and protect the animals in their natural habitats.
Jackery has a long history of environmental protection initiatives, having partnered with the National Forest Foundation to plant 10,000 trees in the US and donated to permanently protect 10 square kilometres of forest in Germany. The brand has also recently released the Solar Generator 2000 Plus, its new eco-friendly energy solution and reliable backup power during outages or other emergencies.
The partnership is the latest addition to Jackery’s mission to safeguard the natural environment and preserve biodiversity. The brand has also received carbon footprint verification from TÜV SÜD, an internationally recognised third-party certification organisation, for two solar panel products and seven portable power products.
Nicola Cutler, Senior PR UK/Europe, commented: “We are delighted to be working with WWF in this new partnership to help protect the black-footed ferret and its environment. Our commitment to making the world a better place is at the forefront of everything we do and this collaboration is a step in the right direction.”
