Mobilityways has been awarded a second consecutive royal award for their outstanding work in sustainable development.

Mobilityways, a company specializing in reducing commuter emissions, has been honored with a King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. This prestigious award, given to only 252 organizations nationwide, recognizes Mobilityways’ commitment to zero carbon commuting and its innovative climate tech solutions.

The announcement of Mobilityways’ award was made on Monday, May 6th, along with the names of other recipients. This is not the first time that Mobilityways has been recognized for its excellence in sustainable development. In 2019, the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development. Each award allows the use of the Queen’s/King’s Award emblem for five years, meaning that Mobilityways can continue to use the emblem for another five years.

Founded in 1998, Mobilityways, formerly known as Liftshare, employs 40 people and provides large employers with tools to measure, reduce, and report their commuter emissions. Its suite of climate-tech solutions is the only software dedicated to decarbonizing the commute. This recognition of Mobilityways’ efforts to revolutionize commuting is a testament to its dedication to making a tangible impact on reducing carbon emissions.

Julie Furnell, Managing Director of Mobilityways, expressed her gratitude for the King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development, stating, “Winning the Award is a testament to our relentless dedication to revolutionizing commuting.” She also emphasized the company’s role in influencing how people travel more sustainably and its commitment to partnering with large employers to decarbonize the commute.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognizing outstanding UK businesses. This prestigious award program, now in its 58th year, allows successful businesses to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years. Applications for the King’s Awards for Enterprise 2025 will open on His Majesty The King’s Coronation on May 6th, 2024. For more information, visit https://www.gov.uk/kingsawards-for-enterprise.
