“TAL Records Record Quarter with Addition of Over 22,000 New Customers through Telecom Acquisitions”

Fast-expanding Telecoms Acquisitions (TAL) has just announced a highly successful trading quarter, with a staggering 22,000 new residential broadband customers signed up since last autumn. This significant growth is a testament to TAL’s vision and strategy in the residential broadband supply sector.

The TAL Group, which consists of Home Telecom, Fleur Telecom, and Eclipse Broadband, has achieved this impressive feat through a combination of acquisitions and strategic partnerships. 16,000 customers were secured through acquisitions, while 6,000 customers were gained organically.

Nigel Barnett, CEO of TAL, is confident that the company’s singular focus on the residential broadband sector will continue to drive rapid growth for the group. This is further supported by the partnerships TAL has formed with ISPs and large altnets, such as CityFibre, MS3, FullFibre, and Freedom Fibre. According to Barnett, these companies are facing challenges in acquiring new residential customers and have found it to be a costly and resource-intensive process.

“We have acquired customers from companies that excel in the B2B marketplace but have struggled in the residential space due to its high costs and cash demands,” said Barnett. “By forming strategic partnerships with TAL, these companies can continue to focus on their B2B business while benefiting from our expertise in the residential sector. This allows them to acquire customers through their existing channels without additional investment, ultimately increasing their bottom line.”

In addition to these partnerships, TAL has also entered into a marketing deal that will see its three brands – Home Telecom, Fleur Telecom, and Eclipse Broadband – promoted door-to-door in areas where CityFibre and TalkTalk have a presence. This initiative will involve a team of 100 professional introducers offering an exciting range of residential products over the next six months, further boosting TAL’s already significant organic monthly growth.

TAL is also preparing to launch a new wholesale offering for UK resellers and ISPs, allowing them to access a wide range of residential connectivity from various altnets through a single postcode checker. The company will also offer a Layer 3 service, providing a comprehensive solution for its partners.

Barnett, who has over 53 years of experience in the B2B sector, is thrilled about TAL’s foray into the residential market. “The last four years in the residential space have been the most exciting of all,” he said. “We only started in January 2020 and have already achieved remarkable success. The fact that TalkTalk wanted to be part of our journey further confirms our success. In just 15 months, we have grown to around 100,000 customers, generating a £40 million turnover. With more acquisitions in the pipeline, we are confident that 2024 will be another highly successful year for us.”

Barnett also emphasized the importance of working with other emerging entrepreneurs in the industry to improve the overall state of residential broadband in the UK. “Together, we are changing the face of the sector, and UK residents will finally get the fiber service to the home they so desperately want,” he concluded.
