KODA Studios, a Yorkshire-based designer and manufacturer of bespoke wooden furniture, have placed sustainability at the forefront of their service offering. In a bid to support reforestation across the globe, KODA have partnered with One Tree Planted – a non-profit organisation with the goal of regenerating forests and encouraging conservation within affected areas. For every handmade furniture or lighting piece sold, a tree will be planted in an area affected by severe deforestation.

KODA Studios also strive to reduce their environmental impact through their motto of “buy well and buy once”, producing pieces that are long-lasting and minimise waste. Every furniture piece is constructed from timber fully accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
Deforestation can lead to a multitude of environmental issues, including the release of carbon back into the atmosphere as well as a reduction in the quantity of carbon dioxide being converted back into oxygen. By partnering with One Tree Planted, KODA Studios hope to play their part in slowly striving towards a brighter future.
